He has worked with individuals in the midst of many of life’s challenges and has assisted those struggling with anxiety disorders, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, traumatic exposure, losses of meaning and grief. Dr. Olan is currently completing his postdoctoral fellowship.

Dr. Olan's approach facilitates an integration of all aspects of a client’s life, the commonplace, and taboo, allowing into the space those parts of life that clients often feel they must keep hidden, private and away from others. He practices from an integrated, holistic lens, prioritizing the therapeutic relationship to develop a collaborative and personalized treatment experience.

Dr. Olan utilizes a warm and engaging approach employing both humor and deep inquiry allowing for free expression to gain an understanding of where a client is in the greater context of their life.

Clinical Approach

"Dr. Olan works from a perspective that says all are welcome 'when, where, and as they are.”'

Beyond the therapy room Dr. Olan explores contemporary culture and its intersection with psychotherapy. He examines the moral and ideological assumptions that often leave individuals feeling isolated, stigmatized, and alone. Dr. Olan works from a perspective that says all are welcome “when, where, and as they are.”'
